On October 18-25, 2019, Dr. Suen Ka ChunMs. Cheung Hiu Man and five Neuroscience Club students (5J Cheng Hei Long, 5M Hsu Tsun Ho, 5V Liu Kwan Chak Jake, 6J Chan Sau Tsun and 6J Cheung Yan Yuet) attended the 49th Annual Meeting of Society for Neuroscience (SfN 2019) and presented their research paper titled “The effects of different combinations of plant extracts and traditional Chinese medicine on hydrogen peroxide- and thapsigargin-induced neurotoxicity”. This was a collaborative project with the research group of Dr. Raymond C.C. Chang, Associate Professor, School of Biomedical Science, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong (HKU), Hong Kong, China.

In the same conference, Dr. Suen Ka Chun and Ms. Cheung Hiu Man presented their educational research paper titled “Development of a novel science curriculum about neural stem cells for high-school students in Hong Kong”.
