EdUHK Youth Science Research Learning Program:

Immersive Neuroscience Research Learning Workshop and Lecture at Guangzhou Jinan University

Under the Education University of Hong Kong's Academician Lecture Series and Youth Science Research Learning Program, five of our students recently had the chance to explore the cutting-edge neuroscience research happening at Guangzhou Jinan University.

Guided by the renowned Professor SO Kwok-Fai, a respected Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and former professor from the University of Hong Kong, our students got to step inside the university's state-of-the-art neuroscience lab, where they were simply amazed by the advanced 9.4T MRI machine that allowed them to peek into the intricate workings of the human brain like never before.

Beyond the high-tech equipment, the students also dove into fascinating realms of behavioral science and microscopic imaging, gaining invaluable insights into the complex and captivating world of neuroscience through hands-on experiments and engaging discussions with the research team.

Professor SO Kwok-Fai, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, warmly welcomed our students alongside the members of his renowned research lab.

Within the neuroscience lab, our students were granted the invaluable opportunity to learn about the diverse microscope techniques used to image and study the intricate structures of the mouse brain. Under the guidance of the lab's expert researchers, the students delved into this fascinating realm of biological discovery.

Our students closely studied the impressive 9.4T MRI machine, a cutting-edge imaging system that allows researchers to examine the human brain in remarkable detail. The students listened intently as the researchers shared insights into the machine's capabilities and the groundbreaking research it enables.
